Writing
This past Saturday, I spent the better part of three hours writing a simple 250 - 500 word summary of an educational summary. Why did it take it so long to complete? Well, I have not written in the APA style since undergrad, almost 12 years ago, for one thing. I analyzed and over analyzed that I was plagiarizing my work as well! Grand Canyon University has a policy in which all students submit papers to a website called Turnitin to check the validity of the student's work. The lower the number, the better, just like in golf. My first submission came back with a score of 3 - I was so excited! I just hope that my next writing assignment will not take as long :-)

My Relationship Horoscope for Today - Had to Share :-)
"Add a little method to the current madness, and you and your sweetheart will actually come out way ahead of the game. That means taking a more realistic view of the resources and goals you have in mind. "

A Major Decision
Hi, I am Christy. I am a single mom to two wonderful children; Caleb, 8, and Anna-Grace, 4.
I am in a fabulous relationship with a man named Harvey.
I teach English, grades 6 - 12, with Columbus County Schools at Boys & Girls Home School.
This is a new adventure for me, and I thought, "What better way to keep my thoughts straight than writing in a journal. And just not any journal, but a blog." So, this is my foray into the world of blogging. I may rattle at times, but that is me.
I would love for you to follow my journey
with me :-)
